For five consecutive days there’s been news about the happenings in the Communist world both in the past and current.

First on Monday, January 22, there was a report of the USSR’s attempt to assassinate Pope John Paul II. Then for the next four days are news reports of the attempts on Communist nations Vietnam and China welcoming the possibility of diplomatic ties with the Vatican. See Tuesday January 23, Wednesday January 24 and Thursday January 25.

First they try to kill the Pope, then they change their mind and be friends with him. As capricious as any communist can be.
